Judi asks for you to hold Kelly in your loving arms as she completes this semester and her final year of studies to become a Registered Nurse. You know her and you know how much she loves you. What a blessing she will be to those who are sick. Kelly asked for us to pray - not for herself - but for her fellow students, that they will make it through this most difficult ending of their years of nursing studies. This world needs more loving and compassionate nurses to tend to so many who are hurting. Please be with them and encourage them.
Judi asks for special love, comfort, compassion and healing to Tammy's family who are still reeling with the shock of the killings at the hands of her nephew, Jay. This week begins the plans for the memorial services of Valerie's husband, Jay - her father and her 10 year old nephew. We've heard that forgiveness is in progress. Please help them to understand that forgiveness is a process and that it happens over time. We ask that healing be their focus right now as there will be so many emotions that will come to all of them. Please provide safety to Tammy and her mother as they travel from Florida to North Carolina - leaving so very early in the morning to arrive in time.
Mary Ann asked for prayer for her sister-in-law, Diane. You know Diane and what she has been suffering through with two amputation on her left leg. Please be with her while she is in the hospital in Phoenix - please comfort her, ease her pain and remove the blockages from her leg. Please let this be the end of her surgeries and begin the healing. We praise you for her positive spirit and acceptance - she loves you and has deep faith.
Lord we praise you for the great news we heard about Bill, Jr. and the position he has accepted in India. We know that you have great plans for him to touch the people there and to spread the Good News about you.
Lord, please help John, Bette's brother, to stay strong and positive after the news he received on Friday. It is never easy to lose a job / be down-sized or let go. It is very difficult later in life, especially after being wooed away from a prior position, only to feel used after they received his client list. Lord, we know that you have plans for John and that it will be in your time - please help him to stay strong during this interim time.
Lord, we know that you have felt the praises Pam has lifted up to you for solving the problem finding a home for the antique piano that she and her family enjoyed for many years in their Pittsburgh home. We would like to continue to lift up praise . . . for every glich along the way, you provided a better solution with the end result bringing happiness to the recipient in Washington, D.C. The closing of her PA home is now behind her.
Sweet Jesus - we know you are the lover of children. Matthew told us (19:14) that you said "let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these." We beseech you to keep your loving, protective arms around precious little Chase, the nephew of Karyl's daughter's best friend. This little boy has already undergone so many medical treatments at the tender age of two years. Please strengthen his mother, father, family and friends so that they can be there to love and support him. We lift up the 20 year old donor who has undergone a bone marrow transplant to help save the life of this child. Please keep him safe and healthy. We know you have wonderful plans for both these boys. We praise you as the Great Physician, filled with love, compassion and healing.
On Tuesday, Bette asked for prayer for her mother-in-law, Jo, who is 92 years old and recently diagnosed with cancer. She has an appointment at Moffitt in Tampa on August 21st for a determination on whether or not they will operate. Please keep Jo and her physicians / medical staff in prayer for comfort, wisdom and treatment.
