'For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
Thank you to those of you who brought in your donations for the Florida United Methodist Children's Home's school supplies. Your gifts will be such a blessing to them when they begin the school year. As we discussed, they are funded through donations so this means a great deal to them - not just the material aspect, but to show them the love of Christ - from people they will likely never meet. As a reminder, I am re-posting the list - there's plenty of need so don't worry if someone else also signed up for the same thing.
I posted the pictures above to give you a little visual. The first picture is the original 1908 building for the Florida Methodist Orphanage which was later renamed to the Florida United Methodist Children's Home. The middle picture is Hardin Hall - welcome center and administration. The third picture is one of the 15 houses where the children live.
