Matthew 6:6 But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. Dear Lord - please hear our prayer and hear our praise. We have been so blessed this week by all you have shown us and uncovered for us as we have studied your faithful servant, Rahab. We have been blessed to wake each day . . . we awaken to your amazing smiling face through the beautiful sunrises that welcome us . . . to the clear rain drops you send down to nourish everything around us . . . to the beautiful clouds you place over our heads that give us a glimpse when looking upward . . . to all the creatures you send scurrying along our paths - every individual living thing on this planet . . . to the beautiful families you have blessed us with and the wonderful friends / acquaintances who enter our lives . . . to the health and healing you provide to us. We have everything to be thankful for and little to nothing to "whine" about . . . but we do . . . and we thank you for your understanding and patience with us. We see horror / torture / wars / starvation / losses all around us. It is those things we need to focus on and pray for those people. We ask you to help us make life less about us and more about others who truly need. Please help us to strengthen our faith - to feel joy in our heart and to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ with those we meet - if we see someone without a smile or joy in their heart, help us to touch their lives in a positive way. The needs of others are endless while we have an abundance of love, time, compassion, understanding and even money to share with others. Please open our hearts to do so. In Jesus' precious name we pray. Amen.
