Lois made copies of additional Masada research from within her Bible and shared them with everyone. This will be very helpful when we see the Masada movie. Thank you Lois for making copies for everyone.
At the end there was a question on "rend" and we were all to go off and research this. I have looked this up in the dictionary and it says "to tear (something) into pieces with force or violence."
Joel 2:13 says, "Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity."
What do you think it means to truly rend your heart?
In Anne's book she asked us to carefully examine our own spots of sin by going over the preliminary list on pages 146 - 149. For the benefit of those reading this blog who don't have the list I'm going to post a few of the headings. I continue to highly recommend you read the book for the details:
- ingratitude
- neglect of Bible reading
- unbelieve
- prayerlessness
- unconcern for the lost
- ignorance of the lost
- hypocrisy
- pride
- neglect of family
- neglect of God's family
- envy
- critical spirit
- slander
- lying
- cheating
- robbing God
- the list goes on: unforgiveness, self-indulgence, anger, jealousy, gossip, worry, doubt, immorality of any kind - visual, mental, virtual or actual . . .
During the week begin Session 7 - Bend Your Knees

- read the chapter Bend Your Knees in your book
- listen for His voice - He's speaking to YOU
