Barbara reported on behalf of Karyl that her friend's little son, Chase, whom we have been praying for these last several weeks is doing FANTASTIC! He still has a feeding tube, but he is up and around. If he continues to improve there is a strong chance he will be going home at the end of this month. He still has a long way to go, so please continue to keep him in prayer. We also learned that the mother was advised that she will not be able to know the name of the 20 year old donor for a year. Of course, she wants to contact him to thank him for saving her little boy's life. Please continue to keep him in prayer and that when the Lord feels it is time, to allow this reunion. IMAGINE how amazing it will be for him to see a healthy little boy a year from now. PRAISE GOD!
Judi gave an update on Sandy who has been struggling with infection since her mastectomy. A more current update than even last night's update (which wasn't that good) is that Sandy has already been to the infectious disease doctor and on the intense antibiotics for 4 days. The surgeon examined her today and determined that the infection has gotten worse, not better. He has scheduled her for immediate surgery (her third) for tomorrow (Tuesday) morning where he will once again surgically remove the infection and this time remove the expander. She currently feels that she will forgo reconstructive surgery - her goal now is just to heal and fully recover. Her husband has been in an assisted living place for several months so he is not there to support her. Her D-I-L from Tennessee had come for the last 2 surgeries, but cannot on such short notice - plus has 3 kids in school. She is expecting help from her other son and D-I-L for tomorrow. I have prayed with her on the phone and she knows we are all out here praying for her.
Betsy mentioned how quickly our lives can change and that we really need to be grateful for all we have and especially our health.
Linda gave thanks for all the prayers she has been receiving and praise to God for how well everything is going with regard to packing and her move - she can definitely feel the prayers. She's asked that we continue to pray that they are able to quickly sell their house when they put it on the market. They closed on their new home on Friday and will be moving in 2-3 weeks - Ray is currently there overseeing work being done.
Pam asked for continued prayer for communication for her daughter, Betsy and her husband Marcus.
Dreama shared that Susie is on her last round of chemo - her emotions continue to go back and forth, as can be expected when dealing with this horrible disease. She still faces the uncertainty of whether or not she will have a mastectomy. Please keep Susie in prayer for peace, calm, understanding, acceptance, endurance and especially healing and comfort.
Dreama's friend, Jamie is pregnant with her 3rd child. Her placenta is torn so they will be performing a C-section on her tomorrow (Tuesday) and a hysterectomy. Please be in prayer for Jamie that her delivery brings forth a healthy baby and that her hysterectomy does not add any complications so that she can heal quickly and enjoy the precious first days with her new baby.
Let's lift up Anna each day in prayer. She has been suffering from excruciating lower back pain for years. She has already been through multiple surgeries for the insertion of rods and screws. She has suffered a great deal this week causing her to be in bed for four days. Tonight (Monday) was the first time she had been out of the house all week. We were so happy to see her and spend time with her, but were saddened to hear about this ongoing pain. Please ask the Great Physician to share with her doctors a way to take away this pain.
Barbara lifted up a praise for her granddaughter, Brianna's birthday. She's a delightful young woman of 18. Sadly, she has been suffering from Crohn's disease for the last year and has been in and out of the hospital. Please keep Brianna in your daily prayers for healing and comfort - and be able to live a life like an 18 year old young woman should be able to.
Dreama shared a wonderful story about her four grandchildren and how thankful she is for how they all get along. She has witnessed their character of caring, sharing, fairness and love with each other. She feels great peace in knowing that this is how they will continue to act with one another as they continue to grow.
Please keep Judi in prayer as she prepares for her eye surgery at the Orlando Regional Hospital on Wednesday, August 27th. She has great faith that God will use this surgery to improve her vision and remove the distortion she has been dealing with these past two years.
Please keep all of our group in prayer - whether they are here or in Canada or Tennessee or traveling during the week. We are so blessed to have each other and to have such wonderful Prayer Warriors. God bless each and every one of you.
