She told us to WAKE UP and GET READY!!! She encouraged us to
- Watch: learn the signs - read the newspaper, watch the news on T.V. or the internet, match today's events to the signs, beware of what is happening around us, determine the intensity and frequency of the signs.
- Work: "blessed is the servant who the Master finds doing work when He comes. The work will become harder but DON'T QUIT - THIS IS THE TIME - open up doors - share the Gospel - before it is too late! Laborers are few. Are YOU working for the LORD?
- Walk: live holy blameless lives. Jesus showed no meanness, no unkindness, no pridefulness, no thoughtlessness, no jealousy, no unforgiveness, no sinfulness . . . at all. Repent for our sins. Be blameless, be right with each other. Make the first move to solve a broken relationship. Walk in integrity, purity, humility. What sin is in YOUR life?
Ask yourself - if I would see Jesus in 5 Minutes . . . what will I wish I had done differently.

Do You Know What Time It Is??? (Matthew 24:36, 42-44)
I. Concentration: on no one knows . . .
1. “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” (v.36)
2. “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.” (v.42)
3. “But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into.” (v.43)
4. “So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.” (v.44)
II. Meditation: on keeping watch.
1. The disciples pointed out the temple buildings to Jesus; He responded telling them that there will come a day when none of them will exist; on the Mount of Olives they asked Him when this would happen, what were the signs; Jesus told them no one knows.
2. When Jesus says to keep watch He’s not suggesting to wait, but to be like a watchman who is prepared at all times for the return of Christ.
3. He continues to use parables – this time about a thief and an owner of a house who should have kept watch and been prepared.
4. He reinforces that His followers should always be ready for the hour when the Son of Man will come again – there will be no warning.
III. Revelation: on are we preparing?
1. Instead of needing to know when it will happen, we need to focus on being prepared.
2. As Christians, we need to be strong in our understanding of why we need to be prepared.
3. It’s an individual assessment for each of us to determine what we need to do to be prepared.
4. Once we know what we need to do, we need to put a plan in place for how we are going to meet that plan.
IV. Application: As a Christian, I need to:
1. Accept that it isn’t about when, but about being ready at all times.
2. Daily remember why I need to be prepared at all times – not take any day for granted.
3. Take stock in myself; determine areas where I need to work on my preparation.
4. Have a plan, but give up control; it is okay that I can’t see miles ahead on the pathway of my life; instead know that God will provide me with the light to see the next step He wants me to take and show me how to get there.
