On November 20th, 2014 I was authorized to become a Dean of a College Cell. I prayed about this and "The Open Door College Cell" was established in partnership with PCSI Ecuador. My Scripture for this college is "The door God opens no man can shut." (Revelation 3:8). Lewis is my first student. The Lord will send others. The door will not be shut to those in prison.
Please indulge me as I share with you what has happened recently. As you know I am a student of Pillsbury College and Seminary International (a/k/a Cotacachi Bible College in Ecuador). I have been writing to an inmate since 2012 when I met him in the Sumter Detention Center during an REC (Residents Encounter Christ) weekend. He is serving a prison sentence for up to 15 years. He is a Christian and has been asked to be a leader in a Christian program there - showing the love of Christ - leading other inmates to Christ. For some time he has tried to attend Biblical colleges remotely, but he does not have the funds - even at a decreased rate. He asked me to help him pursue this education. I brought his request to Dr. Dawn Pahl, Chancellor of PCSI. Within the last year Dr. Dawn felt called to establish "College Cells" around the world. Those who have obtained their Master's Degree through PCSI may be given permission to start a College Cell.

Judy - thank you - I, too, am thrilled and so open to where the Lord will lead me. I know where I'd like to take this, but I have FINALLY learned to wait for His direction.

Dearest Dr. Virginia - you and I began this journey together in 1997 - you helped me to look at all those scars and deal with the pain of past wounds. Dr. Dawn has led me to a deeper understanding of the Lord than I ever thought possible. I have both of you to thank for going where the Lord sent you . . . to me. You both have been a major influence in my life. Now it is my turn to pass it onto others.
