Betsy was excited to tell us a Praise to God - her friends John and Dorothy had been dealing with bad news - John was diagnosed with lung cancer. Tests revealed it was encapsulated pneumonia - a very rare condition. Betsy strongly believes God changed John's diagnosis and they are experiencing a miracle which will give both John and Dorothy time to come to the Lord. They are currently away, but she will meet with them when they return to share the Good News with them.
Lois lifted up Praises to the Lord for her husband, Charlie. We know how he suffers with migraines. He was able to fly to Rochester to spend Father's Day with his daughter and son-in-law. She asks for healing prayers to rebuild and strengthen the father-daughter relationship.
Jan is among the 44 of the CUMC Gospel Choir who are going on their annual tour Wednesday morning, returning Saturday night. They will be traveling to Charleston. Their hotel is 2 blocks away from the Emanuel AME (African Methodist Episcopal) church that just suffered the tragic shooting/killing of those attending Bible study in the church. Jan would like travel mercies and that their singing will reach their audiences. They will also be performing their missions in 2 memory care units by doing arts and crafts projects with the residents. This is going to be a difficult time for Jan as she recalls the years she spent caring with her Mom through Alzheimer's.
Bette has appointments with Shand's (July 10th) and Dr. Rao (July 6) for consultations to determine what medical plans they recommend for the large stone in her kidneys. She actually can feel it when leaning back in her seat or touching the area. Lift Bette up for comfort and guidance in making a decision once she receives their opinions - especially if they differ.
Linda has asked that we keep her family in prayer for guidance from the Lord. She has been the glue holding the family together and taking care of them since she was 9 years old. Her Dad passed away 2 years ago - her Mom lives alone. With Linda's moved to Florida a year ago she was hoping that her 2 sisters and brother who live nearby their Mom would step up, help out and take on some family responsibility. Sadly they are all dealing with anger and lack of forgiveness issues which is getting in their way of helping out their Mom.
Judi asked for prayers for her step-mom, Barbara.
Judi lifted up Praises to the Lord for the impact He is making with the ladies being mentored through the Master's Mentoring Ministry.
Judi asked for continued prayers for Ruth House II - God is in control of the formation of this new house which may be directly across the street from Ruth House. The opening of this new house will offer more ladies a safe place to live while they transition from the crisis in their life into a Christ-led life.
