JUDI appreciates the humor in moments with her "life with Bobby". Bobby likes her Diner and her waitressing, talks on the phone and has small everyday successes - she celebrates the moments they share.
JANE has an appointment with a dietitian on the 7th as a follow up. She has been working well with the changes in her diet, loss of weight and is taking it one day at a time.
LOIS reports that Charlie's migraines have much improved, although he still has bouts - but they are lasting hours vs. days. She is thankful for the improvements.
DARLENE has enjoyed her time with her grandchildren.
JUDI is thankful for her husband, Rick. He has been a great support to her as she cares for Bobby. He is very helpful (often silently) and understanding - he enjoys joining them for dinner each night.
LUCILLE had a wonderful visit with her guests, Joe and Vineta; enjoyed the time they spent together and is thankful that they made it home safely. She looks forward to when they can all be together again.
ROSE received a good report from her doctor after the results of the eye exam. Her doctor said "the Macular Degeneration had not changed but had stabilized for now with the help of the vitamin supplements, thank God". So, while she still has Macular Degeneration it is a blessing that it has not gotten any worse.
We praise JAN for accepting the role of Prayer Request Coordinator during Judy W's travel over the next month.
UPDATE: 6/30 - Lord - thank you so much for the patience, love and compassion you have laid on my heart this week as I cared for my brother. Not once did you allow me to lose my patience - you showed me how to listen and understand what his needs were. You gave me a week of pure joy - memories I will always cherish. Thank you Jesus! Your humble servant, Judi
LUCILLE asks that we keep volunteer, Janet, in our prayers who had major surgery today.
JANE'S mother-in-law, Betsy, is in rehab waiting for information about whether or not she goes home. She may not be ready to get out and asks that we pray that good decisions are made regarding her future healthcare.
LINDA requests prayers for her sister, Mary Ann, who is going through a rough time after the loss of her son.
MARY LOU asks that we keep her brother-in-law, Al and his wife, Joan, in our prayers as they deal with MSF.
JUDI's prayer requests continue from last week for Summer - she was surprised to see her at Mentoring and learned that she was released at 1:00 in the morning. Summer believed it was due to our prayers on her behalf. She was alone for 2 and 1/2 weeks with no one to talk to and at the end of her time was able to share her faith with another inmate who was moved into seg.
We continue to pray for the women incarcerated, who are experiencing many problems associated with overcrowding caused by the prison "renting space" for their inmates in the jail.
ROSE's granddaughter, Kelsey, has been released to a rehab/half-way house to live and work and we pray for her safe recovery.
ROSE's son, Scott, and his wife need prayers that GOD will open their hearts to include understanding and forgiveness toward Kelsey and what she is going through.
Finally, for all of our friends and family members, spoken and unspoken, who may be going through difficult times with illness, injury or loss, we pray for the LORD's mercy and grace to be upon them.
