Please help us, your Daughters in Christ, to receive your message as we study the Woman in the Well this week. Just like her, we know that Jesus knows everything there is to know about us - nothing is hidden from Him. Help us to acknowledge those areas in our lives where we need to work on improving ourselves. We love you deeply - with all our hearts, minds, bodies and souls. Where we need help is with loving our "neighbors". We know you don't expect us to just love the nice ones or just the Christian ones - but to love those that are unlovable and hardest to love.
We praise you for the amazing lives you have given to all of us, tending to all our needs. Please help us to give - of ourselves, our time and our resources - to those who are so much less fortunate.
We love you and thank you for giving us your Son who has saved us and the Holy Spirit who lives within us and guides us. In Jesus' precious name . . . Amen.
PLEASE feel free to contact me (Judi Courter) to add or update so that we may pray for you and yours throughout the week. Blessings and Love
Linda asked us to keep her son, Steve, in our prayers. He was recently hospitalized in Georgia due to dizziness, inability to focus and see clearly. Many tests were run without a definitive diagnosis - possibly a minor stroke or an inner ear infection. He is home from the hospital with follow-up visits to his family physician and another neurologist. We pray for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment plan for Steve.
Dreama's dear friend, Gail, is battling stage 4 melanoma in her lung. She has had a pet scan and is expecting a diagnosis today (Tuesday, July 8). She has also been made aware of a new treatment / trial in Newport News. Please pray that she is able to deal with the news provided to her, that a treatment is available, for healing and for comfort.
Barb asked us to continue praying for her step-son Bill Jr as he leaves to return to school in India on Wednesday. Please pray for him to find direction for his future.
Betsy lifted up a wonderful praise about her Daughter-in-Law's pregnancy that we were praying for last week. She has been to see see a high risk doctor on Thursday who has given her encouragement that she will carry her baby to term or close to it. Please continue to keep her and her precious little baby in your prayers.
Please pray for a safe travel for Debbie as she and her husband and dog (Burt) drive to Georgia on Thursday. We wish you a wonderful time / visit with family and friends.
Debbie reported that Darla and Joe are doing well. Please pray for acceptance for Joe as he deals with his current limitations and understanding that he is still healing (hence the continued pain). Boredom is difficult to deal with when previously active, but it is often our Lord's way of limiting our movement so that we can heal.
Barb lifted up a praise for the wonderful visit they had with their grandson, Zachary. He is now off to Wesley Chapel for a visit with his Mom. At the end of that visit he will return to Barb and Bill's for another week.
Pam asked for prayers for her daughter's (Susie) friend Amanda in Oregon who has been diagnosed with cervical cancer. Amanda was hoping to be part of a trial in Washington, DC but was recently rejected. Please pray for Amanda's strength, acceptance, endurance, comfort, healing and hope. Cancer is such an awful diagnosis to begin with - rejection from a trial can leave one feeling devastated and hopeless. Please lift her up in prayer . . . frequently.
Linda offered up a praise for her friend Julie (who we have been praying for). She has returned home from rehab and is receiving the help she needs by visiting physical therapists. Please continue to pray for Julie's healing and strength.
