Father we are so very grateful for the lessons You have provided all generations. We come to You and to these studies to make us better Christians, more Christ-like. We ask you to continue to guide us and to show us the way. We thank You for all You provide for us, each and every day. We love You and honor You. It’s in the name of Jesus that we pray. Amen.
Precious Father – what wonderful lessons You taught us through our study of the “Adulteress” in the book of John. You taught us to listen as Jesus did when the accusers brought her forward. So many times we go right into defense mode trying to work our way out of a situation that we haven’t even listened or thought it through. You showed us patience and restraint. You showed us that none of us has the right to judge and condemn others – regardless of how well we know the law / Your Word. You taught us to look within ourselves for our own sin, and therefore we are not to throw that first stone or any stone . We learned that no one is too broken to be loved, protected and accepted by You – that you show grace and mercy to all of us, without favoritism. We learned that each and every one of us can start over, ask forgiveness and leave our past behind.

Thank you for the time and effort to get the blog up and running again for it connects us between sessions on Monday nights. The prayer concerns followed by a beautiful prayer makes you want to take a deep breath and truly be thankful for the women we are as a group, sharing many different patterns and experiences. God blesses us and our lives are enriched by this experience.

Thank you for your comments and encouragement Dreama!!! It was a bit of a challenge to get the blog up and running again (sort of like the "man behind the curtain in the Wizard of Oz - HA!). I agree with you that this gives us a place to go mid-week to reconnect with each other and to remember those we have requested prayers for.
