Today ROXY sent word that she would not be able to join us or complete the study in person. She and her husband received word that her daughter's (Tricia) mother-in-law, Jeanne is very ill and not expected to live much longer. Travel mercies for Roxy and John; comfort for Tricia, her husband and both extended families and a peaceful transition for Jeanne as she reaches out to the hands of Jesus.
ROSE sent word that she would not be able to join us tonight due to some medical issues. She is also struggling with some very difficult news that they just received from a longtime, dear friend, Jackie, in Sarasota who has been battling lung cancer & COPD. She's very depressed. Rose spoke to Jackie's daughter, Kim, who informed that her prognosis is not favorable.
ROSE's husband's college friend, Elmo, stopped by for a surprise visit today. He has just finished chemo for Non-Hodgkins lymphoma and is going back up north. He is in remission but has a 40% chance of recurrence and is still weak. Please pray for the Lord to strengthen and heal him.
JUDI's brother, Bobby, poured hot coffee on himself trying to rid himself of his alter ego. Please pray for our Great Physician to guide his physicians to a solution for peace and comfort. Please also pray for Kathy as she struggles to provide the best care possible for him.
Please continue to pray for precious little Reagan, the granddaughter of Becky’s friend Shirley. She is 5 years old - has miraculously recovered from her leg amputation and is now beginning her second course of chemotherapy this week. Please also pray for Reagan's family as we know it is so difficult for them to watch what she is going through.
BETTE requested prayers for her neighbor Jo's husband Craig ‘s Lymph node biopsy results.
Please continue to pray for LOIS as she is drawing closer to her visit with her brother in April. This is the brother who is married to the woman who is in Wiccan. Their daughter and her husband are expecting their first child and are separating themselves from the grandparents. There are some great and horrible family things happening. Lois covets our prayers that she will be ready, prepared for whatever she will face during this visit and to make this trip a special (kind) memory to carry with her.
Please continue to pray for a solution to Charlie's (Lois's husband) chronic and debilitating migraines. Please ask the Lord to let them know if this new treatment (Eastern) is going to work. It is a difficult and expensive process.
Lord, please lift up LOIS and provide her with peace and patience as she continues the daily struggle as caregiver of Charlie when he is suffereing.
JUDI shared that they will be showing The Easter Experience movie in the women's mentoring ministry at the jail. This may be the first opportunity for some to truly understand the message behind Easter. She is asking for the Holy Spirit to be at work in the ladies as they watch this movie.
JANE shared with us that her cousin, Bud went to be with the Lord. His funeral will be next week - a military service. Bud and his wife discussed the Lord together during his last few days.
JANE is having her first colonoscopy. Her Mom had colon cancer. Prayers for a successful outcome.
JUDI's friend Larry is undergoing a 40-probe prostate biopsy on Tuesday. She is requesting prayers for a speedy recovery and positive results.
NANCY shared with us that "back home" they attend her husband's family church. It is a very small lovely church but it is quite a distance from where they now live. Her children attend a local church. Her son does not attend church but his children attend with Nancy and her husband. Nancy has asked him if he would join them if they attended the local Methodist Church with the rest of his siblings and he replied with a strong MAYBE. Prayers for the Holy Spirit to lead and guide him to a house of worship with his family.
